H'lo. In case you can't tell by the page's title, I'm Halo and these are my RP rules. For a very long time, I was very anti-rules, simply because a lot of them pissed me off. Especially the consent ones. I still don't play by the rules of "mun consent." I'm of the opinion that if you can't RP your way out of a situation, its for one of two reasons: You can't RP, or the person is being an absolute dick.

You can't help what others do.

I have different rules for different characters, so I'll try to cover all the bases here.

I tend not to take things OOC that belong IC, or take things IC that belong OOC. Sure, crossing happens; but if Ice doesn't know something, and I do, she won't magically know what I know. But if she needs to know, she's damn sure gonna find out one way or another, through creative NPC interaction.

[ Editor's note ] There were two paragraphs deleted when Ice & Laurel ceased being main characters, so some of what's below won't make sense. My "mains" now are Tristan & Isabelle. Still, most of the base rules stand. [ end note ]

Now, as far as RP goes, I don't mind IM RP. However, unless I'm in an IM RP room, do not IM me IC. Because I will snap at you. Unless IM RP has been arranged OOC, its not happening. Even a quick "((Hey, can we RP a sec?))" is fine. But to spring an "::approaches the Commander:: good evening ma'am" on me will almost guarantee you a bitch session. Because...how the hell does your character know where my character is? I have absolutely no problem letting your character walk in on mine having sex, and dealing with the consequences. Depending on the characters yours walked in on, yours could very well end up injured.

Now, I won't tell you I have limits, because I don't, exactly. Laurel is immortal. I don't care what you say, how you kill her, or whatever, she's not officially dying until I'm good & ready to let go of her. She has friends in high places who will stop at nothing to keep her alive. While Ice is not immortal, she's got those same friends. She's not dying either.

I do not set limits on my RP. I like to RP. I like to RP creatively. I do not like to hassle with muns over what can and cannot happen. If something happens you don't like, RP your way out of it. Don't cry to me 'cause my character's a bitch -- you knew that when you started. Don't chastise me 'cause my character's a slut, and for gods' sake, don't assume I'm anything like either of them.

I play true to the characters. With one exception (due to extreme circumstances ( the other person the first person was playing with was completely psychotic, and things got messy)), their past is carried with them. I don't 'erase' RP simply because it doesn't suit my current storyline. If I consent to it, I deal with whatever comes. Personally, I think more people should RP how I do, but that is merely an opinion. I won't not RP with you if you're just going to erase what happened; don't assume because you opted to erase it, that I will.

Now, if I haven't completely scared you off ... feel free to seek me out to RP :)
